I pinky promise I’ll share camping photos with you all soon (I have to steal them from my boyfriend). Until then, enjoy this cute photo of Penny, who, upon returning home in the city, decided that she wanted to return to the woods (who can blame her, really?).
Can you believe it’s the end of summer? I can’t. This whole year has been flying by. I’m sure a part of the reason is being back in school, always combating with time to finish important things. I just started my fall semester this week, so I’m prepared to see the remainder of the year complete just as quickly. Have anything planned for the holiday weekend? We’re going up to New Hampshire for some camping fun. S’mores galore!
-Katrina over at Pugly Pixel is always supplying us with wonderful clip arts, her latest, vintage fabric deco tapes, are swoon-worthy. As in, I can’t wait to sit my butt in front of illustrator and craft things with these little beauties!
Laura is a delightful film noir that stars a plethora of fine actors, including Dana Andrews, Gene Tierney, Clifton Webb, Vincent Price and Judith Anderson. It was directed by Otto Preminger.
A dear friend of mine recently traveled to England about a month ago and I requested some tea from Harrods. I love Harrods. I still remember so distinctly my visit into the great big store and all it’s fineness and galore. I had bought tea (Afternoon Tea – which is delicious), but I had only gotten the regular box. My friend picked up the tin set, so now I’ll be able to use these pretty canisters after the tea is gone.
For some reason I’ve been on a severe, ‘I love everything white’ kick. White floors, white furniture, white bedding, etc. Too bad the current furnishings in my living room are the opposite of that (black and browns). I’ll have to fix up my accessories to lighten things up. I just love the crisp and cleanness of white.
The first time I spotted Mr. Andrews was when I viewed State Fair. I had thought, oh, this guy looks like he’d be better in a non-musical film. I watched Laura not too long after that, and I sort of fell in love with him (that seems to happen to me a lot). I thought he was marvelous in State Fair, too, I just knew that he would shine so much more in a film more suited for his acting abilities. I did find out this piece of information about him though, which I find to be rather interesting, and awfully nice. You can view his full filmography, to see all the films he’s been in. I highly recommend Laura and The Best Years of our Lives.
i blog, drink tea, giggle profusely at silly things, let my mind wander endlessly and watch a lot of movies. i'm odd and absolutely love film history, travel, photography and beautiful things.
